Description

Di Pacci — Needle-Valve Flow-Control Dual-Boiler Espresso Machine

Slayer Espresso 1 Group Custom Satin White

The Slayer Espresso 1 Group brings Slayer's needle-valve flow control to a single group, in a custom satin white finish you won't see on anyone else's bench.

The Slayer Espresso 1 Group is a single-group machine with an independent 1.1 L brew boiler, a 3.3 L steam boiler and Slayer's patented needle valve, which lets you control how fast water reaches the coffee during pre-brew before full pressure takes over. A commercial rotary pump and a group rated for a million cycles put cafe-grade hardware in a 47 cm wide footprint, running from a standard 10 amp outlet.

This one is finished in satin white with hydro-dipped panels and built to order, which takes about 14 to 21 days. Underneath the finish it's a standard brand-new Slayer single group, so you get the same flow control, steam power and serviceability as any other, with a look that's yours alone.

Key Features of the Slayer Espresso 1 Group

🎛️ Patented needle valve

Restricts the flow of water into the group during pre-brew, so you can soak the puck slowly before full pressure and pull more sweetness out of light roasts.

♨️ Independent brew boiler

A dedicated 1.1 L brew boiler holds espresso temperature separately from steam, so the shot doesn't swing when you steam milk.

🥛 3.3 L steam boiler

A large steam boiler for a single group gives strong, continuous steam for back-to-back milk drinks.

🔄 Commercial rotary pump

Quiet, consistent pressure that can draw from an external reservoir or a plumbed supply.

🔌 Runs on 10 amps

Slayer rates the 220 to 240 V version at 9 A, so it works from a standard Australian power point.

🔁 Built for heavy use

The group head is rated to one million cycles, the same commercial-grade group Slayer builds its reputation on in cafes.

How Slayer's Needle Valve Changes the Shot

On most machines, full pump pressure hits the coffee the moment you start the shot. The Slayer splits the shot into a slow pre-brew stage and a full-pressure stage, and the needle valve sets how slow that first stage is.

  • Pull the paddle to pre-brew: water flows through the needle valve at a restricted, adjustable rate and gently saturates the puck.
  • Move to full brew: the valve opens to full pump pressure for the main extraction once the puck is evenly wet.
  • Adjust the needle valve to lengthen or shorten pre-brew to suit the roast, dose and flavour you're after.

The result is more control over sweetness and body than a fixed-profile machine gives you, which is why Slayer machines are favoured by specialty cafes that pour light, complex coffees.

Slayer Espresso 1 Group vs Slayer Steam Single

Slayer offers two single-group models. Both are serious machines; they differ in how much control you get at the group.

Feature Slayer Espresso 1 Group Slayer Steam Single
Flow control Needle valve sets pre-brew flow rate 3-position actuator, programmable pre-infusion, 2 recipe memory
Brew boiler 1.1 L independent 0.8 L, PID-controlled
Steam boiler 3.3 L 2.4 L, electronic steam valves
Weight 50 kg 38 kg
Finish Satin White Custom Factory colours

Di Pacci recommendation: Buy the Slayer Espresso 1 Group if you want to shape every shot and you want a machine that looks like nothing else. Don't bother if you just want great espresso without tinkering; the Slayer Steam Single or a Lelit Bianca V3 is simpler to live with.

Best Grinders for the Slayer Espresso 1 Group

Flow profiling exposes a weak grinder quickly. These grinders give the clarity and consistency a Slayer deserves.

Grinder Burrs Why it pairs well
Mahlkönig E65S GbW 65 mm flat Grind-by-weight dosing so you only change one variable at a time
Niche Zero 63 mm conical Single-dose with near-zero retention, ideal for swapping between beans at home
Turin DF64 Gen 2 64 mm flat Flat burr clarity for light roasts at a sensible price

Slayer Espresso 1 Group — Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Slayer Espresso 1 Group run on a 10 amp power point?

Yes. Slayer rates the 220 to 240 V single group at 9 A and 2.1 to 2.4 kW, so it runs from a standard Australian 10 amp outlet.

What does the needle valve on the Slayer do?

It controls the flow rate of water into the group during pre-brew. Slowing that stage lets the puck saturate evenly before full pressure, which changes sweetness, body and clarity in the cup.

Does the Slayer Espresso 1 Group need to be plumbed in?

No. The rotary pump can draw from an external reservoir, and it can also be connected to mains water if you prefer. Call (02) 9758 0760 if you want us to quote a plumbing kit.

How big is the Slayer Espresso single group?

It is 47 cm wide, 58 cm deep and 33 cm high, excluding the portafilter, actuator and cup rails, and weighs about 50 kg.

How long does the custom satin white Slayer take?

This machine is made to order and takes about 14 to 21 days. Call (02) 9758 0760 to confirm the current lead time when you order.

Which grinder suits a Slayer single group?

A grinder with good clarity and consistency, such as the Mahlkönig E65S GbW, Niche Zero or Turin DF64. Flow profiling magnifies grinder inconsistency, so this isn't the place to save money.
