the order was fullfilled 14 days ago but only arrived 7 days ago - survey? TNT delivery status updates bordered on useless, infrequent and without useful info. you cannot review an item after 7 days - 3-6 months yes. It is a beautiful machine, the right hand panel is slightly warped (concave). I did my research thoroughly so for espresso only drinkers this should be a good machine - come back in a few month’s time. It would have been nice if the machine came with a bottomless portafilter. The heat-up time is very good. German engineering and Italian build - tick (not Chinese). ECM and Profitec are sister companies ECM has a better finish.
The Classika was an upgrade from my now 12 year old Silvia, & while the Silvia is a good machine the ECM Classika takes the art of espresso to another level. It’s got very good heat stability & the look & feel is top notch. I purchased online with Dipacci which was simply & delivery quick. 5 stars!
Single boiler beauty! Unless you have a big need to brew and steam at the same time, this single boiler works a treat. I make milk based drinks every time. I find it slightly quicker to steam milk first and then cool the machine back down to brew temp (pump on steam valve open - takes around 5 seconds. Otherwise you pull the shot and then wait a minute or so for it to heat up before it’s ready to steam. Any way it’s a lot of fun and beats my old capsule machine.
This is my first prosumer style machine. My only regret is I didn't go the full hog and get the dual pump machine. That said teh Classika make fantastic coffee. I dont go to cafes to buy coffee and more.
