Di Pacci — Dual-Boiler Home Espresso Machine
Faema Faemina Urban Series Coffee Machine
The Faema Faemina brings Gruppo Cimbali's café engineering into a dual-boiler home espresso machine that runs on a standard 10 amp power point.
The Faema Faemina is the machine that took Gruppo Cimbali, Faema's parent company, into the home for the first time. It has separate 0.6 L coffee and 2.6 L steam boilers, so you can brew and steam at once, a 2.5 L front-fill water tank so no plumbing is needed, and it plugs into a standard 10 amp outlet. It's ready to brew in about 5 minutes.
Design is the other half of the story. The Urban series finishes come in Matte Black, Gloss White or Glossy Yellow with light anodised details, and the Up&Down tray moves between 80 mm and 110 mm of cup clearance so an espresso cup and a tall glass both sit close to the spouts. Group temperature is set on the display or in the Be Faema app, and you can order it with a manual steam wand or Faema's Autosteam arm.

Key Features of the Faema Faemina
🔥 Separate coffee and steam boilers
A 0.6 L coffee boiler and a 2.6 L steam boiler, each with its own 1,900 W element, let you pull a shot and steam milk at the same time.
🔌 Plug and play
The 2.5 L refillable front tank means no plumbing, and the machine runs on a standard 10 amp power point.
↕️ Up&Down cup tray
The tray sits 80 mm or 110 mm below the portafilter, so short espressos and tall long blacks both brew without splashing.
📱 Display or app control
Set group temperature on the machine's display or from the Be Faema app on your phone.
🥛 Autosteam option
Choose the Autosteam arm for automatic milk frothing if several people in the house make milk drinks.
💧 Water filter included
A water filter comes with the machine to protect the boilers from scale.
Why Two Boilers Matter at Home
Coffee wants water at brewing temperature; milk wants steam, which is much hotter. A single boiler has to swap between the two, which means waiting.
- The 0.6 L coffee boiler holds brew water at the temperature you set on the display or in the app.
- The 2.6 L steam boiler stays at steam pressure the whole time, independent of the coffee side.
- You pull the shot and texture the milk together, so a flat white is ready while the espresso is still fresh.
For a household making several milk drinks in a row, that's the difference between a two-minute routine and a ten-minute one, with the brew temperature unaffected by steaming.

Di Pacci recommendation: Choose the manual wand if you want to learn latte art; choose Autosteam if several people in the house make milk drinks and want the same result every time. Don't bother with the Faemina at all if you mostly drink black coffee and want to spend less; the Lelit Anna PL41 makes excellent espresso for a fraction of the price.
