Di Pacci NZ — Rocket Espresso — Home

Rocket Giotto Type V Cronometro Coffee Machine

A classic Italian heat-exchanger machine for the home barista. The Giotto Type V Cronometro combines the iconic E61 look with a PID display and built-in shot timer for precise, repeatable espresso — driven by a quiet vibration pump with a generous internal water tank, so it's simple to set up wherever there's a power point.

At its heart is the classic E61 group with a thermosyphon system and a 1.8 litre copper heat-exchanger boiler, so you can brew espresso and steam milk at the same time — ideal for lattes, cappuccinos and back-to-back milk drinks. The Cronometro's PID display gives you brew-temperature control and better thermal stability, while the integrated shot timer helps you track every extraction. Handmade in Italy, then bench-tested and inspected before it ships.

What makes the Giotto Type V special

Vibration pump & tank (the "V")

The Type V uses a vibration pump and an internal water tank — no plumbing required, so you can set it up anywhere with a power point.

PID display

The Cronometro's PID display gives you brew-temperature control and better thermal stability for consistent, repeatable shots.

Integrated shot timer

The built-in shot timer (the "Cronometro" feature) tracks your extraction time so you can keep shots consistent every time.

E61 + heat exchanger

The iconic E61 group with thermosyphon and a 1.8 litre copper HX boiler brews and steams at the same time, with strong steam and quick recovery.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between the Type V and Type R?

The Type V uses a vibration pump with an internal water tank only. The Type R uses a commercial-grade rotary pump that can be plumbed into your water line (or run from the tank) for slightly quieter operation. The V has white pressure gauges; the R has black.

Does it have PID temperature control?

Yes. The Cronometro version has a PID display for brew-temperature control and better thermal stability, giving you more precise, repeatable espresso.

Can it brew and steam at the same time?

Yes. The 1.8 litre copper heat-exchanger boiler lets you pull a shot and steam milk simultaneously, with strong steam and quick recovery for back-to-back milk drinks.

Does it need to be plumbed in?

No. The Type V runs from its internal 2.5 litre water tank, so it doesn't need plumbing — just a power point. If you'd prefer a plumb-in machine, look at the Type R.

What's the difference between the Giotto and the Mozzafiato?

They're essentially the same machine with different body styling — the Giotto and Mozzafiato share the same core platform and features, so it comes down to the look you prefer.

Do I need a grinder as well?

Yes — a quality espresso grinder is essential to get the best from the machine. A dedicated espresso grinder with fine, stepless adjustment is recommended; our team can help you match one. Call 09 9779924 or email support@dipacci.co.nz.
