A bench-mounted automatic portafilter cleaner that empties and polishes a double basket in roughly three seconds — so nobody on your bar has to bang a portafilter on a knock tube again.

Knocking out and wiping portafilters is one of the small, constant jobs that slows a busy bar and, over time, wears out both baskets and wrists. The QuinSpin does it automatically: seat the portafilter and its weight triggers the cycle — no switch, no lever — while a drill head removes the spent puck and twin brushes polish the basket clean. It's counter-mounted, quick, and it takes a repetitive task off the barista.

How it works

The QuinSpin cleans in two stages, and it starts itself — there's nothing to switch on, so it fits naturally into the rhythm of service.

Weight-activated, no switch

The cycle is triggered by the weight of the portafilter itself — no switch, no lever and no downtime. The barista just seats the portafilter and lifts it out clean a few seconds later.

Drill head clears the puck

A drill head removes roughly 99% of the spent puck in the first stage, doing the job a knock tube does but without the noise, the mess or the wear on the basket rim.

Twin brushes polish the basket

Twin brush heads then polish residual fines and oils from the basket walls and screen, so the next shot starts in a genuinely clean basket rather than one with yesterday's residue.

Fast and consistent

The whole cycle takes about three seconds, driven by a 400 RPM planetary gearbox, so it keeps pace on a busy bar and does the same job every time regardless of who's on the machine.

Getting the best out of it

Mount the QuinSpin securely on a stable section of bench within easy reach of the machine, so the empty-and-clean step flows straight into pulling the next shot. Keep the brush heads clean and check them periodically for wear, replacing them when they stop polishing effectively — they're the working part of the second stage.
