Barista Accessories — 6-Piece Kit

Meraki Espresso Upgrader Kit — The Six Tools You Actually Use

A six-piece barista set that replaces the plastic tamper and guesswork most machines ship with — the tools a home barista reaches for every morning, together in one kit.

Most entry and mid-range espresso machines come with a lightweight plastic tamper and little else, and the gap between that and a good shot is a handful of inexpensive tools. The Meraki Espresso Upgrader Kit closes it in one go: a proper tamper, a milk pitcher, a WDT distribution tool, a measuring cup, a dosing funnel and a reusable puck screen. It's the fastest way to bring a starter setup up to a repeatable, café-style routine.

  • 6-Piece Set
  • Stainless Tamper
  • WDT Tool
  • Dosing Funnel
  • Puck Screen
  • Milk Pitcher

What's in the kit and why it helps

Each tool addresses one of the small steps that decides whether a shot is even and repeatable or a bit different every time.

Tamper & dosing funnel

A flat-base tamper sized to your basket gives a level, consistent press, and the portafilter-mounted dosing funnel keeps grounds in the basket instead of on the bench — cleaner dosing and less waste.

WDT tool

The Weiss Distribution Technique tool breaks up clumps and evens the grounds before tamping, which is the single biggest fix for channelling and uneven extraction on a home machine.

Puck screen & measuring cup

A reusable stainless puck screen keeps the group head cleaner and helps even water dispersion, and the graduated measuring cup lets you check your shot volume so your recipe is repeatable.

Milk pitcher

A stainless milk frothing pitcher gives you the control to steam and pour proper microfoam — the difference between a flat white and hot milk.

Who it suits

  • Home baristas upgrading from the plastic tools a machine came with
  • New espresso machine owners kitting out in one purchase
  • Anyone chasing more even, repeatable shots on a home setup
  • A ready-made gift for a coffee enthusiast

What's included

Product Meraki Espresso Upgrader Kit (6-piece)
Tamper Flat-base, sized to basket diameter
Milk pitcher Stainless steel frothing pitcher
WDT tool Distribution tool with needle hand grip
Measuring cup Graduated espresso shot cup
Dosing funnel Portafilter-mounted
Puck screen Reusable stainless mesh

Not suitable for Pressurised baskets

Sizing note: three pieces — the tamper, dosing funnel and puck screen — need to match the inside diameter of your filter basket to fit properly. Check your basket size before ordering, and note the kit is intended for standard (non-pressurised) baskets. If you're unsure of your basket size, ask us before you order.

Getting the best out of it

The kit does most of its work in the seconds before you tamp: use the WDT tool to break up and distribute the grounds, seat the dosing funnel so nothing spills, then tamp level. Add the puck screen on top before you lock in, and check your yield with the measuring cup so you can repeat the shot next time.

Good tools reward good coffee, so run fresh beans from our coffee beans selection, and if you're still on a starter grinder, a burr upgrade from our coffee grinders for home range is the next step up.

Frequently asked questions

What comes in the kit?

Six pieces: a flat-base tamper, a stainless milk frothing pitcher, a WDT distribution tool, a graduated measuring cup, a portafilter-mounted dosing funnel and a reusable stainless puck screen. Together they cover the whole routine from dosing to pouring milk.

How do I know it will fit my machine?

The tamper, dosing funnel and puck screen need to match the inside diameter of your filter basket, so check your basket size before ordering. The kit is made for standard, non-pressurised baskets — if you're unsure of your size, ask us first.

What does the WDT tool actually do?

It uses fine needles to break up clumps and evenly distribute the grounds in the basket before tamping. That even bed is the biggest single fix for channelling and uneven extraction on a home machine.

Will it work with a pressurised basket?

The kit is designed for standard, non-pressurised baskets. Pressurised baskets work differently and aren't the intended fit, so match the tools to a standard basket for the best result.

Is it a good gift?

Yes — it's a complete six-piece set that upgrades a starter espresso setup in one go, which makes it an easy gift for a coffee enthusiast. Just confirm their basket size so the fitted pieces are right.
