Di Pacci — Grind-by-Weight 64mm Flat Burr Commercial Grinder
Mazzer Super Jolly G Grind-by-Weight Grinder
The Mazzer Super Jolly G is the first Super Jolly that doses by weight instead of time, so every shot lands on the gram you set — whatever the beans, the grind setting or how busy the bar gets.
The Mazzer Super Jolly G keeps what made the Super Jolly the default grinder in small and mid-sized cafes — 64mm flat steel burrs, stepless micrometric adjustment and Mazzer's all-metal build — and adds a built-in load cell that stops grinding at your target weight. A new high-torque 550W asynchronous motor and three-segment grinding chamber push output to 4–5.2 grams per second, so a double lands in a few seconds.
A timed grinder doses accurately only until something changes: a new bag, a humid afternoon, a tweak to the grind. Then someone has to weigh, retime and weigh again. The Super Jolly G removes that loop. A vibration-filtering algorithm keeps the scale reading true while the machine, the knock box and the floor are all moving, and when you change the grind the grinder compensates on its own. Mazzer showed it at HostMilano in October 2025 alongside the Kony g, and it sits above the grind-by-time Super Jolly Electronic in the range.

Key Features of the Super Jolly G
⚖️ Load-cell dosing with vibration filtering
The built-in scale stops the motor at your programmed weight, and Mazzer's filtering algorithm ignores the bumps of a working bench so the reading stays honest.
🎯 Place-and-Grind activation
Slide the portafilter or dosing cup into place and it starts on its own, leaving both hands free to prep the next drink.
⚡ Roughly double the speed
A high-torque asynchronous motor and redesigned three-segment chamber deliver 4–5.2 g/s, which Mazzer rates at about twice the previous Super Jolly.
🌀 Dual fans for long rushes
Two cooling fans keep heat out of the grounds, so the dose and the flavour of shot 200 match shot one.
🧹 Grind Flow Control dampers
Swap between the Hybrid and Antidust dampers to tame static and clumping for less mess on the bench and less coffee left in the chute.
🔩 Two burr choices
Standard 205D steel burrs suit medium-dark roasts and milk drinks; optional ZZ k206P tooling-steel burrs are built for light roasts and are rated to last about twice as long.
Why Grind-by-Weight Changes the Workflow
A timed grinder doesn't measure coffee — it measures seconds, and assumes the beans flow the same way every time. They don't. Bean density shifts between bags and as coffee ages, and every grind change alters how fast the grinder delivers. On the Super Jolly G a load cell under the portafilter weighs the dose as it falls and stops the moment the target is reached.
- Set your recipe once — up to three programmable doses, for example single, double and a larger basket.
- Seat the portafilter or dosing cup. Place-and-Grind starts the burrs and the vibration filter keeps the scale steady while the bar is busy.
- Dial finer or coarser and the grinder compensates automatically, so the dose stays put while you chase the extraction.
The payoff is the step that disappears: no more weighing, adding a pinch and re-weighing before each tamp. Dosing variation stops being a variable, so when a shot runs fast or slow you know it's the grind or the prep — and a new barista on a Saturday morning pulls the same dose as your head barista.

Super Jolly G vs Super Jolly Electronic
Both grinders share the 64mm flat burr format and the same compact footprint. The difference is how they decide when a dose is finished.

Di Pacci recommendation: If your team already weighs every dose, the Super Jolly G pays for itself in saved seconds and saved coffee — it's the one to buy. Don't bother if you're running a high-volume two- or three-group bar where one grinder works flat out all day: step up to the Mazzer Robur. And if you're happy timing and weighing by hand, a grind-by-time Super Jolly does the same job at the burr for less.
What to Pair With the Super Jolly G
The Super Jolly G is sized for a busy single- or two-group bar. Pair it with a machine that matches that throughput and it will keep up without becoming the bottleneck.

Who This Grinder Is For
✓ Ideal if you:
- Run a small-to-medium cafe on a one- or two-group machine
- Already weigh doses and want to stop doing it by hand
- Rotate baristas or train new staff and want identical doses from everyone
- Change beans often, or serve single origins alongside a house blend
- Serve light-roast specialty coffee and want the ZZ burr option
- Want a grinder serviced locally by a team that stocks Mazzer parts
✗ Consider alternatives if you:
- Run a high-volume bar grinding for three groups all day — the Mazzer Robur has the burr size and duty cycle for it
- Need it under low overhead cabinets — it stands 601mm tall with the hopper and needs clearance above that to refill
- Grind beans for retail bags or filter — the Mazzer Super Jolly Deli is built for that job
- Single-dose one or two coffees a day at home — a Mazzer home grinder is smaller, cheaper and holds less coffee
Mazzer Super Jolly G — Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Mazzer Super Jolly G and the Super Jolly Electronic?
The Super Jolly G doses by weight using a built-in load cell, while the Super Jolly Electronic doses by time. The G also has a stronger 550W asynchronous motor, grinds at roughly double the speed (4–5.2 g/s), starts automatically when you seat the portafilter, and can be ordered with ZZ light-roast burrs. Both use 64mm flat burrs.
How accurate is grind-by-weight on a busy coffee bar?
The Super Jolly G is designed for exactly that environment. Mazzer's vibration-filtering algorithm separates the weight of the falling coffee from vibration caused by the espresso machine, knock box and foot traffic, so the scale still stops at your target during a rush. It also compensates automatically when you change the grind setting.
Does the Mazzer Super Jolly G need a special power point?
No. The Super Jolly G draws 550W, so it runs on a standard power outlet without a dedicated high-amp circuit. Mazzer builds it in regional voltage versions, so make sure you order the version for your country.
Should I choose the standard 205D burrs or the ZZ burrs?
Choose the standard 205D burrs if you serve mostly medium-to-dark roasts and milk drinks. Choose the optional ZZ k206P burrs if your menu leans on light roasts and black coffee — Mazzer designed them for lighter roasts, and they are rated to last about twice as long as standard burrs. Talk to our team if you're unsure which suits your coffee.
How much bench space does the Super Jolly G need?
The Super Jolly G measures 240mm wide, 404mm deep and 601mm high with the 1.1kg hopper fitted, and weighs 16.5kg. Allow extra height above the hopper for refilling if it sits under shelving or cabinets.
Can I use the Mazzer Super Jolly G at home?
Yes, it runs on a standard household outlet and some home baristas buy it for cafe-grade dosing. It is a commercial grinder, though: it's tall, heavy and designed to hold beans in a 1.1kg hopper. If you make a few coffees a day and single-dose, a Mazzer home grinder will suit you better.
Can I grind into a dosing cup instead of the portafilter?
Yes. A stainless steel magnetic dosing cup is included, holding up to 30g with a top that fits 58mm baskets. Place-and-Grind detects the cup as well as the portafilter, and the adjustable portafilter holder suits most commercial portafilters.
