Why consider the EK Omnia

Large burrs, three grinding modes and low retention make it a flexible grinder for a brew bar.

98 mm cast steel burrs

The listing gives flat 98 mm cast steel burrs, similar to those of the EK43, with stepless adjustment.

Three grinding modes

Classic, Timed and Library modes let you grind by dial, save recipes with grind size and time, or add a recipe name and target grams.

Quiet, efficient motor

The listing describes a brushless DC motor that is energy-efficient, quiet and powerful, rated at 750 W.

Low retention and tidy design

The listing describes a direct path to an anti-static chute for low retention, plus a knocker/bag holder, an LED spotlight and a magnetic tray.

What to check before you buy a new grinder

A new grinder is a long-term purchase, so it pays to match it to how you brew before you order the Mahlkonig EK Omnia. Think about how many coffees you make each day, whether you grind for espresso, filter or both, and whether you want to dose by time, by weight or by hand. Ask us if you want to compare it with similar models.

Also check that the grinder suits your bench and your power point, and think about where you will put the hopper and the catch area. Confirm dimensions with us and measure the space before you commit.

Getting the best from your grinder

A grinder is only as good as the way you use it. With the Mahlkonig EK Omnia, keep the burrs and chute clean, use fresh beans, and adjust the grind a little at a time. Weigh your dose and your output so that you can see what each change does, and write down the setting that works for each coffee.

If you are matching it with a machine, our team can help you pair it with something suited to your volume. Call us and tell us how many coffees you make in a day.

Who it suits

  • Cafes and brew bars that grind for both filter and espresso
  • Baristas who want saved recipes for consistent results from any staff member
  • Venues that want a quiet, low retention grinder
  • Buyers who like a touchscreen for precise grind control
