Lelit — Heat Exchanger Espresso — Made in Italy
Lelit Mara X V2 PL62X
Heat Exchanger · Dual PID Double Probe · L58E Group · X-Mode · World's Most Compact E61 HX Machine
The Lelit Mara X V2 is the result of two years of research and development by Lelit to solve the core problem of heat exchanger espresso machines — temperature inconsistency. Traditional HX machines require cooling flushes before each shot because the brew water passing through the boiler overheats between extractions. The Mara X eliminates this with a patented double probe system: one PID sensor in the steam boiler, one in the heat exchanger, monitoring temperature twice per second and dynamically adjusting the heating element to hold brew water within 2°C of your target. The result is an HX machine that delivers consistent shot-to-shot temperatures without the guesswork or the flushing ritual — in a body just 220mm wide, the most compact E61-equipped heat exchanger espresso machine in the world.
The V2 software update refines the temperature management further, making the Mara X more stable than its predecessor. Two operating modes give you complete control over your workflow: X-Mode Coffee prioritises stable brew temperatures for shot-to-shot espresso consistency; X-Mode Steam elevates boiler temperature for powerful, rapid milk texturing. Three preset temperatures — Warm, Hot, and Extra Hot — are selected via a hidden switch behind the drip tray, designed to suit light, medium, and dark roasts respectively. An optional flow control paddle is available for an additional $200, allowing pressure profiling via the L58E group head.

Lelit Mara X V2 Coffee Machine Features
Heat exchanger boiler 1.8L stainless steel boiler with AISI316L stainless steel heat exchanger and thermosyphon double-cycle system — keeps the L58E brewing group and boiler at temperature continuously
Double probe dual PID system Two PID temperature sensors — one in the steam boiler, one in the heat exchanger — monitor temperature twice per second. The only HX machine in the world with this system. Holds brew water within ±2°C of target. V2 software improves stability further
X-Mode Coffee / X-Mode Steam Coffee priority mode stabilises brew temperature for consistent shot-to-shot espresso extraction. Steam priority mode elevates boiler temperature for more powerful, rapid milk texturing. Switch between modes instantly
3 temperature presets Warm, Hot, and Extra Hot — selected via a hidden switch behind the drip tray. Each preset is designed for a different roast profile — lighter roasts benefit from higher temperatures, darker roasts from lower
L58E group head Lelit's custom E61-based group head with mechanical pre-infusion. Thermosyphon circulation maintains constant group temperature between shots. Compatible with LELIT58 professional barista accessories and 58mm aftermarket tools
Silent vibration pump Lelit-tuned to operate significantly quieter than comparable E61 machines. OPV drain discharges back to the water tank — not the drip tray — halving the frequency of drip tray emptying
Double manometer Two pressure gauges — one for steam boiler pressure (0–4 bar, optimal 0.8–1.2 bar), one for brew/pump pressure (0–16 bar, optimal 8–10 bar) — so you can read both boiler and extraction pressure during every shot
Anti-burn steam & hot water wands Multidirectional cool-touch steam and hot water wands — ergonomic, safe to handle, and easy to clean. V2 wands are longer than V1, preventing contact with the machine body and eliminating scratching
Power-saving standby mode After 30 minutes of inactivity the Mara X automatically reduces steam boiler pressure to 80% efficiency — saving energy while remaining ready to return to full power within 10 minutes. Reactivate by lifting the brew lever
Reserve mode If the water tank runs low during an active extraction, reserve mode automatically activates — completing the shot using residual water before alerting you to refill. No ruined shots from an empty tank mid-pull
Key Features
🌡️ Dual PID Double Probe — ±2°C Brew Accuracy Steam boiler PID + heat exchanger PID, sampling twice per second. The only HX machine in the world with this system — eliminates temperature surfing and cooling flushes entirely
🎚️ X-Mode Coffee + Steam Priority Switch between Coffee priority (stable brew temps for espresso) and Steam priority (elevated boiler for powerful milk texturing) at any time — full control over your workflow
📐 220mm Wide — Smallest E61 HX in the World At 220mm wide, the Mara X fits spaces where no other E61 HX machine will go. Full-size 58mm professional portafilter, E61 group head, and dual PID in the most compact package available
♨️ Brew & Steam Simultaneously Heat exchanger system lets you pull a shot and steam milk at the same time. No waiting between espresso extraction and milk texturing — faster workflow for milk-based drinks
🔇 Silent Pump + OPV to Tank Lelit-tuned vibration pump runs significantly quieter than comparable machines. OPV excess water drains back to tank (not drip tray) — halves the frequency you need to empty the drip tray
🎛️ Mechanical Pre-Infusion + Optional Flow Control L58E group provides mechanical pre-infusion as standard. Optional flow control paddle available (+$200) for manual pressure profiling — upgrades the machine's extraction capabilities significantly
⚙️ Optional Upgrades Available at Di Pacci Flow control paddle — Available for an additional $200. Adds manual pressure profiling to the L58E group head, letting you control water flow during extraction for more nuanced espresso profiles. Material: black walnut (painted). | Walnut wood handles — Optional upgrade to walnut or black walnut handles and double portafilter.
