The Lelit Kate PL82T is an Italian espresso machine with a 38mm conical burr grinder built in, PID temperature control and programmable pre-infusion. This unit is an ex-demo in brushed stainless steel.

Most home setups need a machine, a grinder and the bench space for both. The Kate combines them in one body that is 33.5cm wide, so you can go from beans to espresso without a separate grinder taking up room beside it.

What the Kate gives you

The Kate is built for people who want control without assembling a bench of equipment. The grinder, brew settings and display all live in one machine.

38mm conical burr grinder

The grinder uses 38mm conical burrs, which are the same style of burr found in many dedicated espresso grinders. Beans are ground fresh for each shot.

PID and LCC control

A PID controller manages temperature, and the LCC electronic control system with LCD display lets you see and adjust the machine settings.

Programmable pre-infusion

Pre-infusion wets the coffee gently before full pressure is applied. It helps the water pass through the puck evenly and supports a more balanced shot.

58mm commercial portafilter

A 58mm filter holder is the standard size used on café machines, so it works with a wide range of baskets and accessories. A 3-way solenoid valve releases pressure after the shot.

Setup note: this is an ex-demo unit, so the box and presentation may differ from a sealed new unit. It runs from its 2.5L tank on a standard earthed power point, and it needs room above the machine to fill the bean hopper.

Getting the best out of it

Even with a grinder built in, fresh coffee matters. Use freshly roasted coffee beans and adjust the grind first when dialling in a new bag, then adjust temperature or pre-infusion if needed.
