Brand New Single Group — Slayer

Slayer Single Group — Custom Matte White, V4 Update

A brand new Slayer single group in a custom matte white finish, built on the latest V4 update to the platform — a genuinely significant internal upgrade over the earlier Classic version, not just a colour refresh.

The V4 update replaces the Classic's electronic gear pump with a new mechanical rotary pump reaching 9 bar in about a second rather than 3–5 seconds, and can draw water from a bucket if needed rather than requiring incoming line pressure. A new LCD display replaces the previous OLED, with adjustable brightness and better touch sensitivity, while new PCB, SSR, PID, and heating elements substantially improve temperature stability at the group and steam capacity.

The pump change is a bigger deal than it might sound for anyone who's used an earlier Slayer under pressure during service — a 3-5 second spool-up delay is genuinely noticeable when pulling shots back to back, and the new rotary pump's near-instant response brings it closer to how commercial machines feel to operate day to day.

What's genuinely new in the V4 update

Mechanical rotary pump

Replaces the previous electronic gear pump — reaches 9 bar in about a second instead of 3–5 seconds, and can draw from a bucket without needing incoming line pressure.

New LCD display

Replaces the Classic's OLED screen with a brighter, burn-in and fade-resistant display with adjustable brightness and improved touch sensitivity.

Improved temperature stability

New heating elements and SSR fire both boilers simultaneously even at 240V, paired with new PID math and a new circuit board — a substantial upgrade to temp stability and steam capacity.

Copper internal tubing

90% of internal tubing that was previously plastic or rubber is now copper, alongside forged valve bodies matching the commercial range — both changes made specifically for easier long-term maintenance.

Who it suits

  • Serious home baristas and boutique venues wanting the latest Slayer platform in a distinctive custom finish
  • Buyers who've previously used an earlier Slayer and want the V4's meaningfully faster pump response
  • Anyone prioritising temperature stability for genuinely consistent shot-to-shot extraction quality
  • Sites without reliable line pressure, given the new pump's ability to draw water from a bucket if needed, without any drop in performance

Three-phase power: as a commercial-grade single-group platform, this machine requires a dedicated commercial electrical supply. Confirm your site's electrical supply with a licensed electrician, and have installation and commissioning carried out by a qualified technician before the machine goes into daily service.

Frequently asked questions

What's actually different about the V4 update?

A new mechanical rotary pump that reaches 9 bar far faster than the previous gear pump, a new LCD display, substantially improved temperature stability from new heating elements and PID logic, and copper internal tubing in place of most plastic and rubber lines.

Can the machine draw water from a bucket?

Yes — the new rotary pump can draw water even without incoming line pressure, unlike the previous pump which needed at least 3 bar of incoming pressure to function.

Is the matte white finish a standard colour?

No — this is a custom finish rather than a standard production colour, making it a distinctive configuration.

Is this machine new or used?

Brand new — this is not a pre-loved or ex-demo listing.

What warranty applies?

Coverage is set out in our returns and warranty policy, alongside your rights under New Zealand Consumer Law. Please check the policy page or contact our team for the terms that apply to new commercial equipment.

How does temperature stability compare to the earlier Classic version?

The V4's new heating elements and SSR can fire both boilers simultaneously even on 240V, paired with new PID math built specifically around these components — a substantial step up in both temperature stability at the group and steam capacity compared to the Classic.
