Why consider the Major V

An electronic grinder with a display makes dosing simple, and an ex-demo unit can cost less than a new one. Here is what the listing says about it.

Fast and precise grinding

The listing describes lightning-fast grinding speed and precision, which helps when you are making coffee in volume.

Consistent results

The listing says the grinder gives a uniform grind every time, so shots are easier to repeat.

Easy-to-use display

The listing describes a user-friendly display that makes operation simple.

Ex-demo value

The listing describes an ex-demo unit, which can cost less than new. Ask us for current photos and details of its use.

What to check when buying a pre-owned grinder

A pre-owned grinder can be good value, but burrs wear with use, so ask the right questions before you order the Major V. Ask us for current photos, ask what work has been done on it, and ask about the condition of the burrs. A grinder with fresh burrs will perform differently from one near the end of their life.

Also check that the grinder suits your bench and your power point, and think about where you will put the hopper and the catch area. Confirm dimensions with us and measure the space before you commit.

Getting the best from your grinder

A grinder is only as good as the way you use it. With the Major V, keep the burrs and chute clean, use fresh beans, and adjust the grind a little at a time. Weigh your dose and your output so that you can see what each change does, and write down the setting that works for each coffee.

If you are matching it with a machine, our team can help you pair it with something suited to your volume. Call us and tell us how many coffees you make in a day.

Who it suits

  • Busy cafes and restaurants
  • Roasters and coffee bars
  • Serious home baristas with the space
  • Buyers who want a known brand for less than new
