Collectable Ecm Controvento Commercial Coffee Machine

The Controvento is a rare thing: an ECM that is no longer in production, sought after as much for its sleek, sophisticated looks as for how it performs. For a café or a serious enthusiast it is a genuine showpiece.

Behind the design sits real capability — a PID shot timer for precise, consistent temperature control and a quiet rotary pump for steady extraction, with the flexibility to run from the water tank or plumb in directly.

• PID Shot Timer

Why the Controvento is special

Discontinued machines with real capability and standout design don't come up often — the Controvento is one of them.

What “pre-owned” means here

This is a used machine, offered as a collector's piece that is no longer in production. We recommend confirming the exact condition and service history with our team before ordering.

It is priced as pre-owned equipment. Cover on used machines differs from new stock, so please read the returns and warranty policy for the terms that apply before you order.

Who it suits

• Collectors after a discontinued ECM showpiece
• Cafés wanting a genuine statement machine on the bar
• Enthusiasts who value PID control and a rotary pump
• Buyers who can plumb in or prefer the onboard tank

Getting the best out of it

As a discontinued machine, keep it well maintained to preserve both its performance and its value — fit water treatment suited to your supply, keep the group clean and give it a regular service. Use the PID and shot timer to lock in a consistent recipe.

Pair it with a capable grinder from our commercial coffee grinders range and fresh coffee beans to do the machine justice.

Because the Controvento is no longer made, spare parts and cosmetic components are harder to source than for a current model, so gentle, consistent care matters more than usual — soft water, a clean group and regular servicing all help keep a discontinued machine running and looking its best. For a collector, that upkeep also protects the machine's standing as a genuine showpiece rather than just another bench machine.
