Milk lines and steam wands are one of the least glamorous parts of running an espresso machine, and also one of the most important to keep on top of. Cafetto's MFC Blue is built specifically for that daily maintenance — an alkaline cleaner designed to work alongside an acidic descaler as part of a proper milk-line cleaning routine, rather than trying to do both jobs at once.

How to use it

For milk frothers: ensure the white cap is tightly sealed and slightly loosen the blue cap, then gently squeeze the bottle until the reservoir measures 50ml. Remove the blue cap and pour the dose into a cleaning container with 1 litre of warm water, then reseal the blue cap tightly. Insert the frother's suction tube into the solution and run the entire dose through the frother, then repeat with 1 litre of clean water to rinse all components thoroughly. Do not mix with other chemicals.

For jug rinsers: measure the same 50ml dose into 500ml of warm water. Add the actuator plate to the container and soak for 5 minutes, then dip a cloth in the solution to wipe over the rinser sink and grate. Pour the remaining solution into the rinser sink, rinse with fresh water, and reassemble.
