Bezzera Aria V E61 Heat Exchanger with Vibration Pump

The Aria V pairs the classic E61 group with a 1.5L heat exchanger boiler in a slim stainless body. It brews and steams together, shows boiler and pump pressure on two gauges, and comes in a choice of panel finishes.

Bezzera has made espresso machines in Milan since 1901. The Aria is its modern take on the traditional E61 home machine: AISI 304 stainless steel, square box-cut side panels, and the Biscione emblem on the back. The V in the name marks the vibration pump version, which runs from a 3L tank.

Why the Aria V earns its place

E61 group with thermosiphon

Hot water circulates continuously between the boiler and the heavy brass group, keeping it at a stable temperature. The same group design has been the benchmark for espresso machines since 1961.

Brew and steam together

The heat exchanger feeds fresh brew water through the steam boiler, so you can pull a shot while texturing milk. There is no switching between modes.

Two gauges, clear feedback

One gauge shows boiler pressure and the other shows pump pressure during the shot, which makes it easier to see what a grind change has done.

Stainless build, your finish

The body is AISI 304 stainless steel with square box-cut side panels. Panel colour and knob options let you match the machine to your kitchen.

Setup note: the Aria V is tank-fed and runs from a standard earthed power point, so no plumbing is needed. Like every E61 machine it needs time to heat the group fully before the first shot, so switch it on ahead of when you want coffee and flush a little water through the group before brewing.

Getting the best out of it

An E61 heat exchanger responds well to a short cooling flush: run water through the group for a few seconds before locking in the portafilter if the machine has been idle. After that, the grinder does most of the work. The Aria has no built-in grinder, so choose one from our home coffee grinders and use freshly roasted coffee beans.

Filtered water keeps scale out of the boiler and thermosiphon, and regular backflushing keeps the group clean. If quicker warm-up matters more to you than the E61 group, the Bezzera BZ10 is worth comparing, and the rest of the range is in home coffee machines.

Frequently asked questions

Can I brew espresso and steam milk at the same time on the Aria V?

Yes. The Aria V is a heat exchanger machine, so brew water and steam are available together. You can pull a shot and texture milk without switching modes.

What does the V in Aria V mean?

It marks the vibration pump version of the Aria, which runs from a 3L internal tank. Vibration pumps are compact, reliable and well suited to home use.

What is an E61 group?

The E61 is a heavy brass group design introduced in 1961. Hot water circulates through it from the boiler to keep it at a stable temperature, and a lever on the side starts and stops the shot.

Does it need to be plumbed in?

No. The Aria V runs from its 3L tank, with automatic boiler filling and a cut-out that protects the element if the water runs low.

How long does it take to heat up?

Like all E61 machines, the Aria V needs time for the group to reach full temperature as well as the boiler. Switch it on well before you want coffee and flush a little water through the group before your first shot.

Do I need a separate grinder?

Yes. The Aria V is an espresso machine only, so it needs a burr grinder capable of a fine, consistent espresso grind. Our home coffee grinders collection covers suitable options.
