Compact Heat Exchanger Espresso

Quick Mill Aquila White — E61 Group, PID, Rotary Pump

The Quick Mill Aquila in white combines a stainless steel body with a chromed brass E61 brewing group, giving you PID-adjustable brewing temperature and genuinely quiet rotary pump operation.

Both the steam wand and tea tap are enclosed to limit the chance of getting burned, while a heat exchanger boiler lets the Aquila brew and froth milk at the same time. The rotary pump runs quietly and can be adjusted from the machine's right side, and this model can be linked directly to a water pipe instead of relying on the tank, giving you flexibility as your setup evolves.

Why the Aquila has the reputation it does

A chromed brass E61 group brings real thermal mass to every extraction, and the PID functionality gives you the ability to adjust brewing temperature to suit different beans, something fixed-thermostat machines can't offer. The pressure manometer covers both boiler and brewing pressure, so you're not guessing at what the machine is doing.

PID temperature control

Adjust brewing temperature to fine-tune extraction, rather than accepting a fixed factory setting.

Rotary pump, adjustable

Quieter operation than a vibratory pump, with external adjustment available from the machine's right side.

Anti-scald steam and water wands

Both the steam wand and water wand carry an anti-scald design, a practical safety detail for everyday use.

Tank or direct mains connection

Run from the 3L water tank or connect directly to your water mains, depending on how you'd like it installed.

How it compares to the Rubino Plus

If you've also looked at our Quick Mill Rubino Plus, the Aquila is the step up in boiler capacity, moving from a 1.8L single boiler to a 1.80L heat exchanger design with a genuine E61 group. The Rubino Plus is a strong single-boiler option if you're espresso-focused; the Aquila is the better fit if you regularly need coffee and steam at the same time.

Who it suits

  • Home baristas who want genuine E61 group performance with PID precision
  • Anyone who values a quiet rotary pump over a vibratory one for daily use
  • Buyers who want the flexibility to plumb into mains water down the line

Getting the best out of it

As a heat exchanger machine, give the group a quick flush before pulling a shot right after steaming, since brew water briefly runs hotter after steam demand — the same principle applies to any HX design regardless of brand. Pair it with a grinder from our home coffee grinders collection that matches the consistency this machine offers. Browse our coffee beans range to get started, and see our wider home coffee machines collection if you'd like to compare heat exchanger options. Our finance options page covers payment plans if useful.
