After Dark Blend — 250g Dark Roast

The After Dark Blend is Di Pacci's dark roast — bold and intense, with rich caramel, a red-berry lift, a full body and a long, smooth finish. This 250g bag is roasted to order and delivered NZ-wide.

This 250g bag is the easiest way to try the blend — a single-bag size that's ideal for a first taste or for keeping a second blend on hand alongside your everyday coffee. It is bold and intense, with rich caramel, a red-berry lift, a full body and a long, smooth finish.

Every bag is roasted to order at Di Pacci's own Sydney roastery and sent out fresh, so what reaches your grinder tastes the way the roaster intended rather than something that has been sitting on a shelf. Whether you pull it as espresso or brew it through filter or plunger, the After Dark Blend is made to be easy to dial in and consistent from one bag to the next.

  • Dark Roast
  • 100% Arabica
  • Four-Origin Blend
  • Bold & Intense
  • Roasted to Order
  • 250g Whole Bean

What's in the cup

The After Dark Blend is built around balance rather than a single hero flavour, which keeps it versatile across brew methods.

Bold & intense

A big, intense dark roast built for drinkers who want depth and strength in the cup.

Rich caramel

Deep caramel sweetness balances the darkness of the roast so the intensity never tips into bitterness.

Red-berry lift

An unusual red-berry note lifts the dark roast and keeps it from feeling flat or one-dimensional.

Smooth, full finish

A rich, full body and a long, smooth finish are what let it cut cleanly through milk.

Who it suits

  • Drinkers who like their coffee dark, bold and full-bodied
  • Milk-drink lovers who want a blend that cuts through a large flat white or latte
  • Moka pot, plunger and espresso users chasing intensity over brightness

Freshness Roasted to order in Sydney

Freshness & storage: beans are roasted to order, so they arrive fresh. Keep them in an airtight container away from heat, light and moisture, and grind just before brewing for the best flavour. Whole beans hold their character far longer than pre-ground coffee.

Getting the best out of it

Dark roasts extract quickly, so start with a slightly coarser espresso grind than you would for a light blend and adjust to taste — if the shot runs bitter, coarsen the grind or drop the dose slightly. A consistent grinder makes this easier; browse our coffee grinders for home if you are still using pre-ground.

Fresh, filtered water and a clean group head let the flavours come through instead of being masked by old residue. To compare it with the other blends and sizes, browse all of our coffee beans.

Frequently asked questions

What does the After Dark Blend taste like?

It is bold and intense, with rich caramel, a red-berry lift, a full body and a long, smooth finish. It drinks well as espresso, in milk and through filter or plunger.

Which origins are in the blend?

The After Dark Blend is a four-origin blend of 100% Arabica beans from Colombia, Brazil, Ethiopia, Papua New Guinea, which is what gives it its balance of flavour, body and aroma.

Can I get it ground instead of whole bean?

Yes. The bag is whole bean by default, with espresso, plunger and filter grinds available by special request when you order. For the freshest cup we recommend buying whole bean and grinding just before brewing.

How should I store the beans?

Keep them in an airtight container away from heat, light and moisture, and avoid the fridge or freezer for day-to-day storage. Because the beans are roasted to order, they arrive fresh — grinding just before brewing keeps that freshness in the cup.

Where are the beans roasted?

Di Pacci roasts its own coffee to order in Sydney. Orders are delivered NZ-wide, with shipping calculated at checkout.
